Who is John Cioci
Giovanni Cioci is a civil engineer with a solid background and a career of more than 40 years in large public works and infrastructure. He graduated with an experimental thesis on the properties of asphalt mixes, published in the journal Highways in 1982, showed a strong interest in technical innovation and building materials from the very beginning.
Although he won competitions in 1984 and 1985 to teach subjects such as Construction, Construction Technology, Technical Drawing, and Topography, Giovanni Cioci chose to pursue a career in operations. He preferred the practical application of engineering in the field, working as project and construction site manager for leading companies in the construction of major infrastructure.
Throughout his career he has developed specialized skills in technical direction, design management, construction planning, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams. Added to this is an outstanding ability to create constructive relationships with public and private clients, as well as a focus on training young resources.
He currently plays a central role in Unimpresa Spa, where he leads major projects and contributes to the company's strong expansion, particularly in Africa. Since 2018, Cioci has been the driving force behind Unimpresa's success in Ethiopia, where he has implemented major infrastructure projects.
In addition to his work in the field, Giovanni Cioci is also a speaker at conferences and seminars on construction technologies and technical-administrative management of public works. He is frequently called upon as an expert in the resolution of contractual disputes and the organization of complex construction sites. Precision, analytical approach and passion for his work make him a reference figure in Italian and international civil engineering.
